Muekles

A curated visual identity showcase and design retrospective for Muekles.

About

@by.daniblanco developed the visual identity, strategy, and brand architecture for Muekles, a leading retailer of designer furniture. After more than 40 years, the company chose to reflect its generational transition while expanding its structure to incorporate new business verticals.

Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, the identity is built around a symbol derived from the letter K, taking inspiration from the forms and lines of the Fundació Joan Miró, designed by Josep Lluís Sert. The symbol later became the foundation for the new vertical identities: Interior Design, represented through an architectural section, and Logistics, represented by the silhouette of a person carrying a package.

The new identity moves away from the earthy and pastel palettes so commonly associated with the category, embracing instead a visual system defined by restraint and sobriety.
